Meadowhall, Sheffield, UK

Quantity Surveyor: Deacon and Jones

Built between 1987-1990, Meadowhall in Sheffield was one of the first major out-of-town shopping centres. The Meadowhall Centre was built on former steel works, and has successfully regenerated this area of Sheffield. Ideally located off junction 34 of the M1 motorway, Meadowhall has been attracting customers for approaching 20 years. Anchor tenants from the centre’s opening to the current date include Debenhams, House of Fraser and Marks and Spencer.

Over 1 million square feet of retail accommodation, and providing free parking for over 10,000 cars, Meadowhall offers both a retail and leisure destination.

Deacon and Jones acted as Quantity Surveyor on the original construction, and has been actively involved since in extensions, refurbishments, new build works.
